In an increasingly competitive travel gear market, product reliability and safety have become core demands of consumers. ChangRong has always placed quality control at the heart of its brand development, establishing a full-cycle quality inspection system covering raw materials, production processes, and finished product delivery. Every backpack undergoes stringent testing to ensure it meets high industry standards in durability, safety, and functionality, delivering a worry-free user experience.
Ⅰ. Raw Material Access: Guarding Safety Bottom Lines from the Source
ChangRong’s quality control starts with raw material screening. All fabrics, hardware accessories, and auxiliary materials must pass multiple access inspections. For fabrics—whether 100% recycled polyester or waterproof TPU/PVC materials—testing is conducted in accordance with GB 18401 National Textile Product Safety Technical Code, ensuring free formaldehyde content ≤ 75mg/kg and prohibiting carcinogenic dyes and other harmful substances. For plastic parts, zipper sliders, and adjustment buckles, strict phthalate (plasticizer) content testing is implemented to meet the ≤ 0.1% limit requirement, especially to ensure safety for adolescent users.
Hardware accessories and sewing threads are also carefully selected: zippers must pass 5,000 reciprocating pull tests without jamming or tooth loss; special sewing threads for stress-bearing parts must meet the stitching strength requirements of QB/T 1333 standard, combined with double-thread reinforcement technology to prevent thread breakage during use from the source.
Ⅱ. Core Performance Testing: Stringent Verification Simulating Real-World Scenarios
ChangRong’s laboratory has built a comprehensive performance testing system based on core usage scenarios of backpacks, ensuring products adapt to diverse needs.
Durability Testing
The bag oscillation testing machine simulates daily bumping and collision scenarios. Backpacks loaded with standard weight undergo repeated impact tests, requiring no deformation of the bag body and no falling off of accessories. The contact surfaces are tested with the Martindale abrasion method for more than 20,000 friction cycles, with fabric wear controlled at an excellent industry level. High-wear areas such as the bottom are additionally tested with the Taber rotary abrasion tester to ensure long-term use without damage.
Waterproof Performance Testing
Waterproof series products are tested with the waterproof testing machine and spray testing machine in accordance with the ISO 811 spray test standard. After 30 minutes of continuous spraying, the lining water absorption rate must be less than 5%, with no water seepage at seams and zippers. The TPU/PVC composite layer of wet gear storage pockets undergoes penetration testing to ensure effective moisture isolation and protect the dryness of the main compartment.
Tensile & Comfort Testing
The tensile tester is used to conduct fatigue resistance tests on shoulder straps, handles, and other components under a standard load of 10kg, requiring elongation ≤ 15% and no breakage. Adjustable shoulder straps and backpack back panels undergo ergonomic adaptation testing to ensure even weight distribution and no discomfort during long-term carrying.
Ⅲ. Finished Product Final Inspection: Detail Control and Full-Item Verification
Every backpack undergoes 12 final inspection procedures before leaving the factory, achieving a comprehensive check from appearance to function. Appearance inspection focuses on stitch spacing uniformity, seam integrity, and hardware smoothness, eliminating defects such as skipped stitches, missing seams, and burrs.
In the function verification phase, zipper smoothness, pocket opening and closing convenience, and adjustment buckle locking stability are tested one by one. At the same time, the completeness of product labels is verified, ensuring each product is marked with brand information, material composition, and implementation standards, complying with national mandatory requirements. All finished products must pass sampling re-inspection, covering safety indicators such as formaldehyde and heavy metals, as well as performance indicators such as wear resistance and waterproofing. Only products that pass the inspection can be warehoused and shipped.
Quality Commitment: Continuous Improvement Beyond Standards
ChangRong always complies with core national standards such as GB/T 29122-2012 Bags and Backpacks, while referencing advanced international testing specifications to continuously upgrade quality inspection processes and equipment. From the research and application of environmentally friendly materials to the optimization and iteration of durable structures, every improvement of quality inspection standards stems from our commitment to customer trust and market demands. We regularly collect feedback from global partners and end-users, integrating practical usage scenarios into test standard upgrades, to ensure that every ChangRong backpack not only meets but exceeds industry quality benchmarks. Moving forward, ChangRong will continue to uphold the concept of “quality first, customer-centric”, taking rigorous quality control as the cornerstone of brand development, and delivering more reliable, safe and sustainable backpack products to the global market.
